Invisible Grills Cost in Andhra Pradesh: What Decides the Price

The cost of invisible grills in Andhra Pradesh is quoted per square foot, but two balconies of the same size can still get very different prices. Here is what actually moves the number — and why the only honest price is the one given after someone has measured your opening.

How invisible grills are priced

Almost every installer in Andhra Pradesh quotes invisible grills by the square foot of opening covered. That is a fair starting point, because most of the material — cable and track — scales with area. But the per-square-foot rate itself depends on choices that are easy to hide in a quote and hard to see once the grill is up.

1. The cable grade

This is the biggest single factor. SS316 marine-grade stainless costs more than 304, and 304 costs more than 202 or unbranded cable. On the Vizag coast, cheaper grades pit and stain within a few monsoons; even inland in Guntur or Tirupati, the difference shows up as rust marks at the fittings. Always ask for the cable grade in writing.

2. Cable thickness and coating

Most balcony grills use cable of around 2 mm, usually nylon-coated. Thicker cable or a heavier coating raises the price slightly and is sometimes worth it on very wide spans or very high floors.

3. Spacing between cables

A 2-inch gap is the child-safe standard. Wider spacing uses fewer cables and looks cheaper on paper, but it defeats the reason most families fit invisible grills in the first place. Closer spacing uses more cable and costs more.

4. Floor height and access

A ground-floor sit-out and a balcony on the eighteenth floor are not the same job. High floors need safety equipment and more time, and sea-facing high floors in Visakhapatnam need anchoring designed for cyclone wind.

5. The structure you are fixing into

Anchors must go into the parapet edge and the slab, not into tiles or plaster. Glass parapets, curved balconies, damaged concrete from an old MS grill, or a false ceiling above the balcony all add work. This is why a photo gives a rough idea but not an exact price.

What a proper quote should include

  • Cable grade and thickness
  • Spacing between cables
  • Track and fitting material
  • Where the anchors will go
  • The total area and the price for your requirement

If a quote leaves any of these out, ask. Two quotes are only comparable when they describe the same specification.
